Waterproofing basement

Dan Di Francesco, Oxford, PA

My drama is ongoing. I've been building my house from scratch for the past 20 years. I do 98% of the work myself. Five tears ago I finally amassed enough money to waterproof my basement walls. I washed them down real good like the product I chose to do the job with instructed. I coated the cinder blocks with two coat of the slurry that I mixed from the dry powder they sent me. I did a great job. It looked beautiful all clean and white. It looked that way for almost three months then it started. Moisture spots began appearing randomly. Only a spot here and there. That was two years ago. The product was guaranteed so when I called to let them know what was happening they told me that was normal just give it time to cure. I gave it time. Now it's mostly all wet. Water seeping in from everywhere. All my good stuff is moldy. Baseballs, baseball gloves, footballs, two saddles. I brought most of my things upstairs and cleaned them up but I can't move my pool table. I wipe it down at least once a week. It's one of my prize possessions.
When I get enough money together I plan on doing the walls with DryLok like I should have in the first place.
I've called the company several times this past year but their phone just keeps ringing no one answers. I can't even leave a message and my emails come back marked "undeliverable".
Well there it is. Drama, yes, I think so. :(
