About:

Chris: I have been an artist and maker all my life, and have been writing and editing in the online DIY community since 2007. I love to combine traditional woodworking with contemporary design and printmaking to create functional pieces of art and design. My favorite place to buy supplies for craft projects is the hardware store, like my local Gearhart's True Value.

Bruno: I've been blogging for almost 10 years (I know, crazy!). I've probably been DIY-ing things my whole life, but my real home-improvement DIY experience stretches back about six years. My DIY expertise is actually in digital things; computers, photography, programming, etc. My local True Value store is River Lake True Value, in the heart of the thriving, diverse Lake Street district in Minneapolis.

Secondly, I was able to pick up at my local hardware store, and, let's be honest, going to the hardware store never gets old, and it's way more fun to make stuff.

How To: Make An Awesome Small Footprint, Can't Fail Garden
I think even the most blackest of thumbs can recognize that nothing's gonna grow in that soil. But, that's not okay with me. I want a garden. I want to be able to just walk out of my door, and grab fresh herbs, greens, and produce when I'm preparing meals. I want to participate in my food. I wanna weed, water, and scare away all those dang chipmunks that nibble at my plants.
